Become a Breakthrough Tutor and Mentor!!

Breakthrough is looking for responsible, dynamic college and high school students to tutor our High School Students!

Breakthrough Tutors serve as teachers, students and role models for their designated student. Each tutor will be paired with a high school student based on the student’s needs and schedule. The first meeting of the student and tutor will occur at Breakthrough’s main office on the Germantown Friends School Campus and will be observed by the High School Program Director. All other meetings will occur at a regular time and place agreed upon by student and tutor.

Breakthrough's Volunteer Teachers are responsible and dynamic college and high school students with diverse backgrounds, skills, and academic interests.  They instill a love of learning in our students, and teach them the skills necessary to thrive in their schools and get on the path to college.  Sound interesting?
