Teach in the Summer Academy:

The Most Meaningful Eight Weeks of Your Life!

The Princeton Review ranks Breakthrough’s summer internship as a “Top Ten Internship” along with the White House, Supreme Court, Google and MTV. 

Summer Academy Teachers commit to one summer in which they:

• Teach up to two core subjects and one elective

• Participate in ongoing reflection about the work, the students, the program, and their personal involvement

• Serve as an active and positive role model for the students in the program

• Work with students’ families to best serve students’ needs

Teach in the School Year Program:

Help middle school students develop a love of learning and the skills necessary to earn admission to selective high schools!

School Year Program teachers work on a volunteer basis instructing at least one academic class, assisting students with school assignments and projects, and supporting the overall program during special trips and workshops.  The School Year Program includes after-school and Saturday sessions throughout the school year.
