Student Stories: Cameron F.

My name is Cameron. I am an 8th grader, and I attend Anna Lingelbach Elementary School.

At Breakthrough, I was taught to be the bigger person and be a role model for others. I also learned that it’s a good idea to try something new. One little idea that you think is minor, may change your life if you grow it, and you would be glad you attempted it.

Another important thing that I learned from Breakthrough was the power of my voice. At Breakthrough, I realized that you always have a voice – you just need to find it. I always have the power to stand up and say what is right and what is wrong.…

I appreciate Breakthrough. They gave me a good mindset to make me want to chase my dreams. I am glad to be here.

At Breakthrough, you can run for things that make you feel like you have that power to make a change. For me, I found my voice while participating in student council at Breakthrough.

I believe that the teachers at Breakthrough really want to set me up for success. They push me to my highest potential. I learned that working hard, no matter how tired you are, is the road you to make you a better person.

Also, I love that we can learn and have fun at the same time.

In the future, I really want to study math, play basketball and help my family, because those are my favorite things. I want attend William Penn Charter and then Temple to study math.

I appreciate Breakthrough. Breakthrough gave me a good mindset to make me want to chase my dreams. I am glad to be here.
