Amber Brumskill

I would like to thank Breakthrough for everything they have done for me. Things changed for me after I started Breakthrough.  I had the opportunity to meet new people and the work became challenging. The teachers taught me things totally different from what I was learning in school.  For example, I learned different ways of solving equations using blocks and it was much easier than how I learned it in school.

I am very glad that I was one of the lucky ones to be chosen to attend this wonderful program.  When I applied to the program I thought it would help me in my future.  The classes: math, writing through literature, physics, social studies and electives prepared me for the next year.  When I took these classes in school, I already knew the information so I passed all of my classes with no problems.  In Breakthrough I also learned how to just let the small things go and keep focused on my work. 

So I want to say thank you to my classmates, teachers and most importantly thank you to Breakthrough for your help.  Thank you for helping me meet my goals and thank you for choosing me as the lucky one.
